A simple unattended cremation with professional care throughout.
Direct cremation refers to a simple, no-frills cremation without a formal service and typically without mourners present. If you prefer a cremation without a funeral service, this is the option for you. The cremation fee is included, along with the transfer of your loved one into our care at any time of the day or night, a suitable coffin, and transport to the crematorium. If you wish to have the ashes returned, they will be provided to you in a scatter tube.
At Roseberry Funeral Service, we offer a more personalised approach. We do not charge extra or prevent families from visiting their loved one in our chapel of rest, even if they have chosen a direct cremation.
This option is ideal for those who prefer to avoid the formality of a traditional funeral or are seeking a more cost-effective alternative.
A More Personal Farewell
For families who would prefer a small attended service before the cremation, we also offer our Personal Service option from our intimate Service Room at our Guisborough funeral home.
This provides an opportunity for close family and friends to gather in a calm and private setting to share music, photographs and personal reflections before saying goodbye.
Unlike a traditional large funeral service, our Personal Service offers a simpler, more intimate farewell whilst still allowing meaningful time together.
